Strengthening Ties: President Joko Widodo's Historic Visit to Mozambique

President Joko Widodo paid a state visit to the Republic of Mozambique and met with the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi on August 23rd, 2023.

This visit has had a significant impact on improving relations between the two countries.

In addition to witnessing the signing of several cooperation documents in the fields of maritime affairs and fisheries, medicine and defense, the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the President of Mozambique led their respective delegations in a bilateral meeting session, and exchanged views, discussing efforts to improve relations/cooperation between the two countries.

Historic Visit: President Joko Widodo Strengthens South-South Cooperation in Tanzania

After more than 30 years, President Joko Widodo became the first Indonesian leader to visit Tanzania and met with the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan to strengthen cooperation between countries in the global south on August 22nd, 2023.

This meeting culminated in a number of cooperation documents signed by both countries, including visa exemption agreements for diplomatic and service passport holders, and cooperation in the health, energy, electricity, mining and oil and gas business sectors.

Strengthening Bonds: President Joko Widodo's State Visit to Kenya

President Joko Widodo paid a state visit to the Republic of Kenya and met with the President of the Republic of Kenya, William Ruto, on August 21st, 2023. This visit took place at the State House, Nairobi. 

President Widodo underlined that relations between Indonesia and Kenya have become closer in the last nine years, especially through Indonesia's foreign policy which pays special attention to the African region.

Building Bridges: Indonesia and Tanzania Discuss Future Cooperation in Jakarta

Minister for Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi and Former Tanzanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Stergomena Lawrence Tax held a bilateral meeting in Jakarta, June 22nd, 2023.

The bilateral meeting discussed trade cooperation, investment, development, the opening of the Tanzanian Embassy office in Jakarta, as well as plans for President Joko Widodo's visit to Tanzania.
